Description | Reforms undertaken by my team and me saved the Moldovan businesses 87 million lei and 64 thousand working days annually by cutting procedures, reducing bureaucracy and increasing transparency. Contributed to elaborating legislation in the sector (drafted the NCFS law, input in legislation aimed at raising transparency in the banking sector, active member in several technical working groups). Served as focal point for the World Bank DPO instrument (budget support), and maintained communication with partners on EU Budget support. Coordinating with the institutions and policies relevant to financial stability – securities markets, banks and non-banking financial markets supervision. Contributed to the elaboration of the Moldova 2020 National Development Strategy. Input in the Competition protection legal harmonisation process – conducted a working group composed of State Chancellery, National Agency for Competition Protection, Ministry of Economy and business representatives in reviewing the State Aid Law and Competition Law. Communication on a working basis with International Financing Institutions, including World Bank, IFC, EIB and EBRD, on promoting projects in infrastructure and private sector development. National evaluator for an EU funded cross-border programme Ukraine-Moldova - Romania, evaluated two technical assistance offers. Member of the EU- Moldova Agreement on Common Aviation Area (CAA) group of negotiators, from the Moldovan side, assigned by Prime Minister decision. Mainly dealt with provisions on State Aid and competition. Drafted, co-authored, coordination of inputs for several documents, elaborated with the support of the United Nations and other donors: Post-disaster needs assessment (2010), Millennium Development Goals (2010), ECOSOC National Voluntary Presentation (2010). |
