National Accreditation Center of Moldova (MOLDAC) is a public, monitored by a specialized body of central public administration responsible for quality infrastructure (MEI), established under Law 235 of 01.12.2011 on accreditation and evaluation compliance

 

MOLDAC is single national accreditation and aims to implement the state policy in the field of accreditation and conformity assessment, giving confidence in the technical competence, impartiality and integrity of bodies accredited conformity assessment and promoting free movement of products, increase product competitiveness and services, protection of consumers' rights and interests, ensuring the protection of life, health and safety of persons and the environment.

MOLDAC operating in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, international treaties to which Moldova is a party, Regulation (EC) 765/2008, the reference standard ISO / IEC 17011, Document EA, IAF, ILAC and with Regulation MOLDAC , approved by the Government Decision no.77 of 25.01.2013 on the reorganization of the State Enterprise "Accreditation Center for Product Conformity Assessment"

The primary objective is to maintain the status of MOLDAC signatory Bilateral Recognition Agreement with the European Cooperation for Accreditation of Mutual Recognition Agreement for Cooperation International Laboratory Accreditation ILAC-MRA and the Memorandum of Understanding with the International Accreditation Forum.

MOLDAC is subject to peer review based on clear and transparent parity criteria and procedures established by EA, IAF, ILAC accreditation bodies and international bodies.

  

MOLDAC observes in its activity the basic principles of accreditation:

 

• use of unique assessment procedures, harmonized with European and international rules, for the accreditation of conformity assessment bodies;

• competence and impartiality;

• transparency, public availability and credibility;

• representation of public interests;

• free access, without discrimination, of all applicants to the accreditation process;

• independence from the possible predominance of any specific interests;

• ensuring confidentiality and keeping professional and commercial secrecy;

• Impartial examination of appeals and complaints;

• the voluntary nature of accreditation.
