Digital content and electronic services are key factors, which provide benefits for society and the country's economy and are a major potential source of new jobs and economic growth.
Digital content and electronic services are one of the three pillars needed to develop the information society.
For the purposes of the Digital Moldova Strategy 2020, digital content is defined as any information in electronic format subject to the following processes: creation, collection, administration, processing, storage, dissemination, access, use and reuse and abolition.
- The implementation of the Government Interoperability Framework is in full process. This is mainly due to the public institutions that have become more receptive and place the information of public interest on the open data portal. Up to now, over 3.2 million transactions / data exchange operations have been recorded between the participating authorities. In December 2015, was launched the modular data center within the MCloud project. Towards the end of 2016, 38 public institutions, including 36 - CPA authorities, have migrated information systems on the MCloud platform.
- The open data portal is launched. 72% of CPA authorities place open data sets on the open data portal (www.date.gov.md). The activity is continuous. Until 31.12.2016, the 48 CPA authorities published 948 data sets. From the launch from 2011 to late 2016, over 2.4 million downloads of the open data sets have been recorded on the portal, about 335,000 visits, over 241,425 unique users.
- Adopted legal framework for signature and electronic document (Law 91 of 29.05.2014).
