There was adopted the IT visa initiative (Law no.121 of 23.07.2017) - which created an easy legal framework in the field of migration for certain categories of people working in the IT field - leaders, investors and highly qualified specialists, in order to access and stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
The removal of the barriers for foreign investors and qualified workforce in the field of IT (foreign citizens) helps to contribute foreign investments, creates a supportive environment to the development of the IT industry, develops new skills and knowledge, innovation and increased economic opportunities.
Following the results of the modifications and additions to Law no. 200 of 16.07.2010 on the regime of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, and according to the provisions of art. III of the Law no.121 of 23.07.2017 on the completion of some legislative acts, was created the Commission for the examination and evaluation of the requests of the residents of the information technology park, with a view to provide the opinion on the right to temporary residence in the Republic of Moldova and for providing / prolongation of the right to temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (MEI Order No 75 of 28.03.2019 is attached).
The Commission is a collegial body, empowered to examine and evaluate the requests of the residents of the information technology park in order to issue the necessary opinion for providing the right to temporary residence in the Republic of Moldova; for providing / extending the right to temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Moldova to the following categories of persons , as defined in Law no. 200 of 16 July 2010 on the regime of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, with operated modifications and additions by Law no.121 of 23.07.2017 on the completion of some legislative acts:
- persons with management positions of a legal person in the field of information technology (it is granted for a cumulative period of up to 4 years, with the right to extend, if necessary, for a new period of 4 years);
- specialists in the field of information technology (it is granted for a cumulative period of up to 2 years, with the right to extend, for a new period of 2 years);
- foreign specialists in the field of information technology (it is granted for a period of up to 90 days calculated cumulatively during any period of 6 months).
The Commission's opinions are recommended for the authorized body with the right to provide residence permits on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (Bureau for Migration and Asylum).

The Resident of the Information Technology Park, who intends to invite one or more persons, will fill out a request and send it to the Secretary of the Commission in electronic format at viorica.stroici@mded.gov.md to which he attaches the following documents:
- written intent to invite one or more people (according to the template);
- copy of the person's identity documents;
- copy of documents confirming the qualification and/or certification of the person.
